Office Design

Being productive is often depends entirely on if you feel productive.  Think about it!  When you walk to into a nicely furnished office does your demeanor change?  Are you more positive than you when you walked in?  Absolutely you are and you should strive to foster this same feeling in your own working environment.  So look around your office and see what can be improved.

Office design is more about where to put the chair and which way to face the desk it should make use of natural lighting and ultimately will serve to mirror your working values and objectives.  A well designed office helps to say who you are.  This lets visitors know what you are about but more importantly it serves as a daily reminder for yourself to stay on task.  You will likely spend more time working than playing so shouldn’t you spend as much thought in the design of your office work space as your leisure space?

If you work requires collaboration then design it so that working with colleagues flows naturally.  On the other hand if you are a financial analyst working on a statistics answer you need privacy.  Design you workspace with the job in mind.

There are numerous strategies that can you can employ to get more from your office space.  When in the market for commercial office rental space, just say no to cubicles.
